Phase I/II clinical trial of BCT-100 in patients
with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma is presently being conducted
by Dr. Ronnie Poon as Principal Investigator at Queen Mary Hospital.
Our current HKU clinical study shows encouraging results. Our clinical drug has a very favourable toxicity profile with only minor side effects which recovered within month. Most patients tolerated treatment well. 50% of the patients completed the study showed stable disease, which suggests good tumor control and may translate into prolonged progression free survival and overall survival. We shall recruit our expanding cohort of 18 patients to confirm our preliminary findings in September 2009.
