Award News

In April 2005, our BCT-100 project was selected by the Polytechnic University of Hong Kong to enter the 33rd International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva 2005. This event was held under the patronage of the Swiss Federal Government and of the State and the City of Geneva with participation of by 675 exhibitors from 42 countries of all 5 continents. An International Jury made up of some 70 specialists served as judged for more than 1,000 inventions submitted.

Based on the merits of novelty in invention and the potential value in commercialization of the exhibited projects, the Jury had selected a number of them for prizes and awards. Our project won two Gold medals from both the Swiss Ministry of Education and Research and the Romanian Government for merit in potential commercialization.

Our liver cancer treatment method in particular was highly praised by the judges to be of high academic and research value and hence won the special ministerial level prize from Romania Government amongst the special prizes awarded. And the Gold Medal attests its value for commercialization.
