In Hong Kong and PRC
By investing into Bio-Cancer Treatment International Ltd. in early
2006, Morningside Asia (www.morningside.com)
now becomes BCT's local strategic partner. Morningside is an international
investment group founded by the Chan family in Hong Kong in 1986.
The Chan family was the founder of one of the major property development
firms, Hang Lung Group in Hong Kong. Since 1982, Morningside has
diversified investments in areas of biotechnology and medical devices,
health-care services, IT, manufacturing, media and education in
North America, Europe, across Asia Pacific, and since 1992, in Mainland
China. Their main offices are in Boston and Shanghai. Morningside's
rich experience in pharmaceutical industries globally and regulatory
affairs in FDA and SFDA will undoubtedly help BCT-100's development
enormously in the both PRC and US.
In USA
Bio-Cancer Treatment International Ltd. has been collaborating with
Kinexum (www.kinexum.com)
since early 2005. Kinexum's founder and CEO, Dr. G. Alexander Fleming,
MD, was a US FDA leader for over a decade. He and his impressive
group of experts in US FDA regulatory affairs, CMC and toxicology
have been guiding Bio-Cancer Treatment International Ltd's effort
to develop BCT-100 as a drug candidate in US as well as Europe.
As of May 2007, we have completed all Chemistry Manufacturing Control (CMC),
non-clinical experiments as per US FDA and China SFDA requirements for IND submission purposes. BCT is
committed to submit US FDA in June/July 2007. Upon successful application, clinical trials will commence
both in HK and US. We target to submit SFDA IND in the last quarter of 2007 and we anticipate successful
SFDA IND application in mid 2008 and phase I clinical study will commence in PRC shortly thereafter.
